About me ...

 André Lessa

Here's a little something about me. I was born in Brazil. When I was about 11 years old, I became very interested in software development right after being introduced to Sinclair Spectrum and MSX computer systems. Also around that time, after watching a very cool movie called War Games I became really intrigued with online computing and Bulletin Board Systems (BBS). One year later, I was writing programs in Basic and Pascal just for fun and I am pretty sure I was one of the first kids in Brazil to have an actual modem device (a 300bps one) back in 1987.

I started college in 1992, graduated with a degree in computer science in 1995, and earned another degree in Analysis, Project and Management of IT Systems at PUC/RJ University in early 1998.

Around December of 1998, in the mist of the Internet bubble, I got a job offer to move to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. While living here in the burgh, I've worked for a lot of amazing companies: Deloitte Consulting, Transportopia, ModCloth, Lockerz, Vivísimo, and American Eagle Outfitters. I'm currently focused on building my own web company - Meaningfy.
